Las Ramblas

When you think of Barcelona, one of the first things that comes to mind is Las Ramblas. But do most people know what it actually is??
It is the treen lined street which links the central hub of Plaza Catalunya with Christopher Colombus monument near the port. It has become an iconic street of Barcelona as Las Ramblas is very popular with toursits and locals alike. Situated in between the Raval and Barrio Gotico districts, it attracts thousands of people each year, due to its many street perfomers and artists looking to make some money and entertain. You can find cheap accommodation on Las Ramblas as it very popular with tourists who want to be close to the centre of all the goings on in the city.
Las Ramblas hotels are popular along with apartments too, and at affordable prices, for whatever budget you have.
However Las Ramblas has a reputation for pick pockets and many unsuspecting tourists are targetted. Whats more, some cafes and restaurants charge extortionate prices so it is best adviced to eat and drink further away from the area. But on the whole, Las Ramblas is a great place to be entertained and for first time visitors to Barcelona, it is a must!
