Mostra Lambda Gay and Lesbian Film Festival

Along with the EuroGames, Barcelona will also be celebrating homosexuality with the annual Mostra Lambda Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The festival is dedicated to cinema that tackles key homosexual issues and includes the Premio Lambda, which is awarded to those who have contributed significantly to raising homosexual issues in films. Past winners have included Oscar-winner Javier Bardém for his representation of all types of masculinities throughout his career, most notably his gay character in Las Edades de Lulú.

An important part of the festival is the Premio Lambda, awarded to those who have contributed significantly to raising homosexual issues in films. The festival kicks off on Wednesday 2nd July and a full programme of showings and events can be viewed online at http://www.cinemalambda.com/. Here's a comprehensive guide to Barcelona Accommodation.
