So…you’re in or planning to go to Barcelona on Halloween but have no idea whether bringing your witch costume or Frankenstein mask will be a worthwhile exercise. The answer is YES! Although Halloween is not celebrated in Spain in the same way as the US or even the UK the creepiest celebration of the year is rapidly increasing in popularity. The shops may not be decked out with spiders webs, fake blood and glow-in-the-dark rats in the same way as at home but you can even find Halloween costumes for sale such as in the cluster of fancy dress shops on Gran Vía (just down the road from Catalunya Corte Inglés). Any event is the perfect excuse for a party in this city and Halloween Barcelona is no exception.
Razzmatazz, one of Barcelona’s leading club venues with 5 rooms will be holding an ‘Especial Halloween’ night on 31st October. Other big events will be taking place in Bikini Club, Rex Room, Pop Bar and The Loft. Wander round the bars and streets of the Gotico district and you’re bound to come across multiple groups of costume clad punters. What's more, Thursday 1st November is a public holiday in Spain and an excuse for everybody to join in with the action.
Looking for a cheap apartment in Barcelona? Why not stay in a gotico apartment, right in the centre of the action.
